SHF Tru Kingpin

A true stallion prospect needs more than just a great sire. Of course, Kingpin's top side pedigree lacks nothing in terms of speed, disposition, color, and performance ability. His sire is none other than the great Painted Tru Tru - the cornerstone of the landmark Paint rope horse family that includes World Champion Tru Painted Dream and premier rope horse sire Tru Bruiser. This is the sire line that produced A Tru Rolex, Passion Buck, and Sugs Tru Luck.

Finding a mare that could produce the next link in the dynasty was no small feat.  However, Extra On The Hip brings an impressive female family to the bottom side of Kingpin's pedigree.  In addition to adding the great sires Extra Easy and Hempen, and the sought after Easy Jet and Tinys Gay, this mare is from the immediate female family of the great sire Merganser!  Hip Harmony is a full sister to Merganser's dam.

We believe Kingpin has what it takes.  He is beautiful, correct, athletic and smart.  His pedigree is faultless. He is kind and he's even beautifully marked. 

Kingpin's first foals arrived in 2007 and they are sensational! He started his own roping career under the training of Jack and Nancie Wright of Wrights Performance Horses in Penrose, Colorado. SHF Tru Kingpin achieved his ROM in Heeling during his first year of competition, and even with limited showing achieved the 2008 APHA Honor Roll as #7 in Open Heeling and #4 in Junior Heeling.

Kingpin came home at Stone Hollow Farm in time for the 2009 breeding season. We decided he earned a handful of our best mares - so watch for some sensations Kingpin foals in 2010!
