Painted Tru Tru

Stone Hollow Farm was proud to be the final home of the remarkable Paint sire Painted Tru Tru. He is best known as the the foundation of the landmark Paint rope horse sire line that includes his World Champion son Tru Painted Dream and Tru Bruiser, as well as Bruiser's sons A Tru Rolex and Sugs Tru Luck. We believe that time will show him to also be the grandsire of exceptional barrel horses. We have daughters and granddaughters in our broodmares, many of our horses for sale are relatives and we are very proud of his son, SHF Tru Kingpin. Kingpin's 2007 foals are exciting and he's already an ROM rope horse with limited showing.

A perennial Leading Barrel Sire, Frenchmans Guy's offspring have earned in excess of $1.6 million in the barrel pen. He's been a nationally ranked barrel sire of futurity, derby, and/or all divisions barrel horses every year since 2001.

Painted Tru Tru, APHA

(1983 - 2005) Reference Sire

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been the last owners of the great APHA stallion, Painted Tru Tru.

Painted Tru Tru was a remarkable individual and sire. Bred by Forrest and Connie Nelson of Meeker, Colorado, he was sired by Tru Tru AQHA and out of Nelson's top producing mare, Quinella Sue.

"T" as he's affectionately known, earned halter points as a yearling, a racing ROM as a two year old, and ROMs in heading and heeling as a four year old. He then retired to the breeding shed to establish his landmark Paint rope horse dynasty. His son, Tru Painted Dream, won a World Championship in Steer Stopping, placed at the Worlds in Heading and Heeling, and finished 5th in the Overall APHA Year-End Honor Roll. Another son, Tru Bruiser, was one of the very best and highest selling black and white homozygous stallions before his untimely death and sired Reserve World Champions in performance himself. Bruiser is the sire of the famous A Tru Rolex, the APHA's high point earning performance horse. While best known for these and other well-known stallion sons, many who know "T" best feel it is his power as a broodmare sire that will be his most lasting contribution to the breed.

It is with great pleasure and pride that we introduce SHF Tru Kingpin, the son we selected to carry on in T's very difficult-to-fill footsteps here at Stone Hollow Farm.

On our for sale pages we do have a few Painted Tru Tru offspring available. Of course we will have his grandget and great-grandget available for years to come.
